IL Y A TROIS CHOSES QUE VOUS DEVEZ SAVOIR SUR CE LIVRE : 1/ Dracula n'est pas un vampire et vous n'en verrez aucun. 2/ Il s'agit d'une lecture sombre, très très sombre. 3/ Si vous avez le cœur bien accroché, vous allez adorer.

DNF. Je suis tellement déçue par moi même en ce moment. J'avais beaucoup d'attentes pour ce roman de fiction historique qui retrace l'histoire du comte Vlad Dracula par le biais de sa fille, Lada. Lada est cruelle, féroce, et habitée par une soif de pouvoir. Elle refuse d'être traitée comme une fille - ce qui est très méprisant à son époque - et s'arme de méchanceté pour se faire remarquer auprès de son père. La narration est très bien faite, l'histoire captivante et étonnement originale et les personnages ont des caractères bien spécifiques. J'ai appris beaucoup de choses sur la politique de l'époque même si certains commentaires indiquent que les faits historiques n'ont pas été respectés.

Ce livre avait vraiment tout pour me plaire, pourquoi l'abandon alors ? Tout simplement parce que la cruauté dont fait preuve Lada était trop pour moi. Chaque acte de méchanceté me dérangeait et je tournais les pages avec de plus en plus de malaise. A un moment, j'ai décidé que ce n'était pas pour moi. Je préfère lire pour m'évader, pour rêver, pas pour me sentir mal. Et je m'en veux ! Parce que tout semblait parfait, captivant, mais je n'ai pas pu me résoudre à continuer. Comme je vous l'ai dit plus haut, si la cruauté ne vous fait pas peur, ce livre vaut vraiment la peine d'être lu.
